Dynasty Season 4 May be the Most Dramatic Season Yet.

Dynasty is a CW series that is based off the old series from the 1980s. The show is about a rich family in Atlanta, Georgia, and the struggles they face. Some of the problems they face are family drama, murders, divorces, and enemies. Dynasty is created by Sallie Patrick, Stephanie Savage, and Josh Schwartz. Some of the main characters include Elizabeth Gilles, Rafael de la Fuente, and Robert Christopher Riley.

Elizabeth Gillies plays the character Fallon Carrington. The show highlights Fallon’s relationship problems, being a business owner, and handling her family issues on her own. This season deals with Fallon and her husband Liam Riddley and how things are now that they are officially married. This season Fallon also finds more struggles being a business owner and having her own company.

Blake Carrington is the father and the head of the Carrington household. His character is played by Grant Show. This season Blake loses almost everything and finds himself in some tough situations. He finds himself confiding in Fallon for a lot of help and it is new territory for the both of them. Blake even ends up working for Fallon at one point and it was interesting to see how that played out.

Sam who is played by Rafael de la Fuente, also finds himself in a couple of hard situations to get out of. If you have seen the previous seasons, Sam was married to the Carrington brother, Steven, for a short amount of time. Now Sam is the owner of a popular hotel in Atlanta and this season some of the employees really challenge Sam.

Now that I have familiarized you with some of the main characters and their struggles, I can tell you more about the story of the show. Watching Dynasty sometimes makes you feel like you’re a part of the same world that they live in. All the characters are wearing the latest trends and the most expensive designers. The Carrington family lives in their family home called they call the Manor. The Manor is ridiculously big and a beautiful place. A lot of the scenes are filmed in their family home, but a lot of the scenes are also filmed while at work. They own multiple big companies which is why the show is called Dynasty. The second family the show focuses on is the Colby Family. The Colby family is related to the Carrington family, but they didn’t always know that. Jeff Colby who is played by Sam Adegoke is the leader of his family and the most successful. His character mostly plans to take down the Carrington family any way he can. Members of his family help him in many ways, but they all always find themselves in trouble or losing against the Carringtons.

The show is very inclusive when it comes to race, gender, and lgbtq characters. The screen time is so inclusive that it is hard to tell sometimes who the main characters are. The show makes their viewers feel do included and the writers relate the families’ rich problems, to each of the viewers. The show shows how being included in a wealthier family is nice at times, but there are some downfalls as well.

This season a main character dies and it is a tragic one for sure. Fans love this particular character and will disappointed when they reveal who it is. Because this character is gone, the family now has to get used to the idea that they will not be around to help any longer and get used to dealing with things on their own.

The end of season 4 ends on a cliff hanger that will leave you wanting so much more. The viewers always find themselves wanting more at the end of each season, and I think the writers and directors do it on purpose for sure. When ending a season of a show on a cliff hanger, it makes the viewers upset for a minute, but then they are just wanting more.

The 5th season on Dynasty starts on December 20th, 2021, and I will definitely be giving it a watch. If you haven’t seen this show and you like shows with lots of drama, this show would be a perfect one for you.
